With extensive experience as a senior manager and executive in the Australian Public Service and in Local Government  Strategy Hunter’s principal, David Crofts, has developed considerable skills in managing change and in building a cohesive organisation in a rapidly changing environment.

David’s focus is on managing to deliver cost effective outcomes, rather than managing for management’s sake. He is adapt at assembling existing resources in new and creative ways to deliver better results. Notwithstanding this, he is skilled at applying probity requirements, and all business risk assessments.

The need to ensure value for money to taxpayers, ratepayers, shareholders or those who have paid directly for a service is becoming increasing critical for organisations. David can assist organisations establish and maintain management regimes which achieve these objectives. He is abreast of the latest practices in these fields through his membership of AICD and AIM and having attended professional development courses operated by these bodies as well as the AGSM.

David uses a business planning approach which is adaptable to the community, government and corporate sectors, and which yields results. As a Board member of a non Government organisation has is acutely aware of their management challenges and the need for practical strategic business planning.
